In 1953, Yachiyo started the painting company as the main business, and we began business with Honda Motor Co., Ltd. ever since. Along with the expansion of automotive industry, Parts business has established integrated production system from development to manufacturing for fuel tanks and sunroof. Finished-Vehicles Business was started from production of Honda “Step Van”, and now we have grown to the point where we produce whole volume of Honda’s light-vehicles. Yachiyo have increased competitiveness in both Parts Business and Finished-Vehicles Business and recorded steady growth. In December 2006, we became one of the affiliates of Honda.

Due to environmental issues and post oil peak, our lifestyle has also forced to change. I believe problems which may impact changes in trends of automotive demands will continue to be serious in the future. Actually, such signs of the problems are already showed, and these changes have the possibility to accelerate at great speed which is beyond our imagination. Neither great companies nor large-scale companies have guaranteed futures, but only flexible and agile companies can create the futures. Because this is the challenging time of period, I believe it is the time to reconsider overall working habits and strengthen characteristics of Yachiyo by focusing mainly on manufacturing toward the future.
